Casa Aldea is a health and wellness center that combines the medical aspect of diabetes care with the lifestyle component of managing diabetes daily. The center includes:
• consultation offices
• conference rooms
• restaurant (Nanche)
• teaching kitchen
• cafe (Prickly Pear Cafe)
• dialysis center
• fitness center (Stepping Stones) with indoor pool & outdoor basketball court
• multiple outdoor seating and garden areas
KEY CONSIDERATIONS
• Provide medical services, diabetes education, nutritional training and physical fitness
• Create a beautiful and serene oasis with thoughtful details
• Balance traditional and contemporary design elements
• Multiple indoor and outdoor spaces for clients to gather

Main entrance
The lobby conceptually represents the "courtyard" of the building. Located at the center of the building, the lobby acts as the converging point between the east and west wings of the building, as well as the first and second floors. The reception desk is centrally located and is flanked on the east and west by a set of curved stairs that lead guests from the first to second floor.
